A BIG Thank You from Hammerhead Technologies
The is the first newsletter sent out by Hammerhead Technologies and we have a lot to tell you about. We've been in operation for around 12 months now and it's been quite a year, but we're going from strength to strength. At the moment we have 9 employees including 3 offshore developers. We're building to cope with more and more demand, and make sure we can keep our existing customers happy.
So before we forget - thank you for being a customer during our first year. It's the most difficult year of a company's life and you're the people who have helped us get where we are. You've challenged us with your requests and that's made us a better company as all of our customers have benefitted from more CMS features and ideas - so please keep them coming.
We've also branched out from supplying only dive centre websites by adding restaurants, bars, yachting, tourism and medical establishments to our portfolio. Our websites can now be found in over 20 different countries spanning the globe. These additional businesses have also contributed to the progress of Hammerhead CMS by requiring the addition of more features and components.
Recent Events
In the past six months we’ve added a host of extra features to increase the functionality of Hammerhead CMS and make the platform on which you’ve chosen to build your website more and more beneficial to you and your business. Some highlights are as follows…
Blogging Module – the blogging module lets you add as many blogs as you like so you can prompt discussions about any topics you like. The benefit that Hammerhead CMS’s blogging module is that it’s built into your website meaning it’s not hosted on another website using a different URL, this means that all the content added by your users will contribute directly to your website’s SEO and so boost its search ranking.
Booking and Scheduling Module – the booking and scheduling module is aimed at dive centres allows you to create trips, course, and events and attach them to dates on your calendar. You can add customers, add hire kit items and then associate them to a customer, print off the roster for the tour leader with all customer details on it for the day.
Recurring Events – the calendar now allows you to have recurring events so instead of having to create lots of single events you can create on event that will appear in the calendar for as long as you want in the future. When used with the booking and scheduling module you have a very powerful way of managing your trips and events.
Multi-Category Association - this feature allows a category item to be added to multiple categories. This functionality allows you to link an item to multiple categories so that it appears in multiple category menus.
In addition to features you can see we’ve also been working hard behind the scenes to build extra resilience into Hammerhead CMS to keep your website up for longer and as we’ve increased our customer numbers we’ve also spent time tuning to system to not only prevent any performance slow-downs but speed up website responses. We’ll be rolling out the performance improvements over the next few months but this won’t involve any downtime to your websites. As you may have noticed we are letting you know about any new developments when you login to your account on Hammerhead CMS.
