Create An Album

Creating an Album

An album is a placeholder for all your photos & embedded videos. You can create multiple albums.
Once you have a photo/video in an album you can use it all over your site, in as many places as you like and you can add it to the gallery.

Go to Website, then Albums and choose New

Now all you have to do is complete the form:

• Title: Fill  in  the  box  with  a  relevant  title

• Media Type: You can choose between Photo, (if you are uploading a picture), or Embedded, (if you are going to embed a video from another website like You Tube, you will be prompted to enter the code from that site)
   
• Publish to Gallery: By ticking this box your album will appear on your site under Gallery

• Album Type: Ignore this as the new Album will create a new Type once you have uploaded it

• Order: The order You can choose whether you want this to appear as the First or Last album in your CMS Albums. Once created you can change the order in the CMS and it will also change the order of the Album in the Gallery on the website

• Short Description: This area needs just a brief description so that anyone else going into the system can see instructions for what you want added to it, etc.

• Search Engine Optimization fields. These fields are of critical importance in order to get your pages picked up in search engine results. Search engines are tuned to seek out these fields, match them up to all the data above and decide how to present your page on the internet. The better the information, the higher you will rank. Please read the  SEO Primer For Hammerhead CMS Users for guidance in filling out the SEO fields. It might not be relevant to go into lots of detail when filling out the SEO fields on picture albums.  For some businesses it is of no importance to get their photo albums high up on ratings, but very important to get their pages which display the services offered.
