Widgets are placeholders for links to other parts of the site or external links to other sites and even documents. They are basically oversized buttons or just word links.
Once you get the hang of them they are quite easy to make, and can add excellent visual appeal and functionality to your website. Remember you should always have the widgets uploaded in the correct size
The different types of widgets are listed below:
-
Top Widgets: These normally link to the different categories of your website
-
Left Widgets: These are usually social widgets such as links to Twitter, Facebook, Trip Advisor, etc.
-
Right Widgets: These can be text quotes from happy customers, adverts or eLearning Widgets.
-
Footer Widgets: These are normally word links such as ‘Legal’ and ‘Contact Us.’
-
Site Links: These are normally internal and external links; again they are just word links.
